Medium: Ink, Alcohol Markers, Black Cardstock
A self portrait about freaky architecture and dead birds. This was the first self portrait I had done since probably elementary school, as well as one of the first things I had colored fully willingly in awhile. I remember my markers kept dying. This was during one of my architecture phases, when I was starting to read Tillie Walden comics again and wanting to draw intricate pillars and stairwells. This ended up being more Mindscape-esque than early Tillie Walden architecture, but it would influence the way I would think about how architecture could be drawn. The design of the anti-gravity starwells and non-sensical sections are now incorporated into something I have been mentally writing since I was twelve.
